ROCKSTAR ENERGY RACING GOES MAC-TACULAR AT 2010 LUCAS OIL SEASON OPENER

MacCachren Earns Two Second Place Finishes
LAS VEGAS, Nevada - The 2010 Lucas Oil Off Road Series kicked off in a huge way this past weekend under the lights of America's favorite city, Las Vegas, Nevada. Hosted at the world-class Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Rob MacCachren and his well-oiled Rockstar Energy Racing team arrived to open the 2010 season in grand fashion. With all the heavy hitters in the short course racing world all gathered at the season opener the field of Unlimited Pro 2's neared 30 total entries.
Only two weeks before the start of the 2010 season, Lucas Oil officials announced a venue change from Lake Elsinore Motor Sports Complex to Las Vegas Motor Speedway and they pulled out all the stops in building a state-of-the-art short course facility that catered to all aspects of the racing world.
However, for Rob MacCachren and his Rockstar Energy Racing team he wasted no time in kicking off the season right after a solid qualifying performance that was only two one-hundreths behind Jeremy McGrath. With the four truck inversion that put MacCachren in the second row for the first race of the season.
"We are happy to be back racing short course. My team has worked very hard during the off season to improve both the race truck and the program and we are all ready clicking on all cylinders," commented a smiling MacCachren.
Saturday's round one kicked off the season with excitement as the #21 Rockstar Energy / BFGoodrich FORD F150 moved from the second row to the front early in the race as the battle between Ricky Johnson and Rob MacCachren renewed the rivalry from the 2009 season in the TORC Series. In the end of last season it was MacCachren who was crowned the TORC Pro 2 Champion beating Johnson by only a few points.
By the mandatory yellow caution of Saturday's Round 1 race it was clear that MacCachren and Johnson were in a different class than the rest of the 24-truck field.
Sunday's Round 2 was hampered by wet weather as Mother Nature soaked the dirt track overnight and scattered rain throughout the Las Vegas area, which forced Lucas Oil officials to cancel Sunday morning practice and qualifying.
Sunday's race was the last race of the day as the #21 FORD Rockstar Energy / BFGoodrich took to the track in the second row as Rob MacCachren drove hard into every turn to earn his second runner-up spot in the weekend. Finishing in second place in both Rounds 1 & 2, MacCachren sets in motion an incredible advantage in his run for the 2010 Lucas Oil Series Unlimited Pro 2 Championship.
"We had a good run, but came up a bit short in the end. We earned some valuable points early in the season, but winning is why we came here. We'll be headed to the next race charging for the top spot. Thanks to all of our sponsors that have joined our team this season, this is the beginning of a great year and we have our sights set on the season championship."
Rob MacCachren returns to the desert on March 13, 2010 for the SCORE San Felipe 250 racing the #20 ROCKSTAR Energy/MASTERCRAFT Safety Trophy Truck in his quest to be crowned the San Felipe 250 Trophy Truck Champion. ROCKSTAR Energy Drink will host a post race party at BANDIDOS Bar in San Felipe. Rob MacCachren invites everyone to come and join him at BANDIDOS Bar to party like a ROCKSTAR!
